Ormolu-mounted Sevrés style travel desk

Travel desk made with Sevres style porcelain plates, with mercury gold plated bronze mount. The piece is in a late 19th century Napoleon III style.
The upper part is inclined and has a painting with a design corresponding to a period after the Boucher painter, with the motif of two courting couples sitting in front of a stream. On the sides, it has garlands of flowers within golden frames. The rim is cast with a band of foliate garlands tied with ribbons, raised on two tupies, two female feet, and the interior lined in red velvet.
The desk includes two glass inkwells with brass lids.

France, CIRCA 1890.
