Figurine ‘Bacchante’ by PODOLA & Goldscheider

One of the most decorative Goldscheider models, designed by PODOLA – pseudonym of Stanislaus Emil Czapek (1874 – XX). She depicts a young woman dancing, dressed in a bodice, cloth held by a ribbon around her hips, and a flower adornment in her hair. Between her legs is a leopard, nestling her head against his raised leg. Made of hand-painted artisan ceramics with a glossy finish.
Designed by PODOLA, manufactured by Goldscheider Vienna, Austria. Goldscheider XXIII stamp, numbered 4380/68/35.
